Course Description

A one-semester chemistry course for engineering students. Topics include measurements, atomic theory, stoichiometry, molecular structure, thermochemistry, electrochemistry, solid state, material science, and organic chemistry. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or better in CHEM 112 or 101, or grade of B or higher in high school Chemistry and a grade of C or better in MATH 104 or 108 or placement into MATH 171 based on Math Placement Test, or instructor consent. Not suitable substitute for the CHEM 105/106 prerequisite for organic chemistry.
