ENGR 336: Biomedical Devices
Course Description
This course covers engineering and medical bases of application, measurement, and processing of signals from living systems. Biomedical transducers for measurements of movement, biopotentials, pressure, flow, concentration, and temperature are discussed. Principles of bioinstrumentation for the assessment of physiological function and therapeutic intervention, as well as electrical safety are described. Prerequisites: PHYS/AST 192 and CHEM 106 and EGR 325 or EGRT 131 or instructor consent.
