Course Description

This introductory history course spans from early Indigenous North American encounters with Europe, Africa, and Asia, to the American Civil War of the 1860s. Topics will include colonialism, slavery, the American Revolution, U.S. politics and reform, the Civil War era, and Reconstruction, among others.
