MATH 415: Modern Geometry for Teaching
Course Description
An intuitive and investigative study of geometry and axiomatics emphasizing modeling, problem solving, and communication. Topics are chosen from axiomatic systems, synthetic (constructive) geometry, transformational (motion) geometry (reflections, rotations, translations, and glide-reflections), analytic (coordinate) geometry, symmetry, fractal geometry, spatial visualization, topology and graph theory. Prerequisites: MATH 211 and 213 each with a grade of C or better. Special course fees may apply.
