MUSC 167: Bolt (Basketball Pep) Band

Course Description

Students in this course develop musical performance skills across a variety of genres for display at men’s and women’s basketball games, other athletics matches, and campus and community events. Additional aims include developing life and leadership skills and fostering integrity, inclusivity, and camaraderie. Rehearsals and performances follow the athletics calendar, spanning multiple campus semesters and breaks; weekend hours and off-campus travel are required. This ensemble is open to students in all majors. Prerequisites: Ability to play a specified instrument at a high school level; completed online application; participation in MUSIC 166 or performance evaluation; availability during entire season Nov to Apr.
