SOC 347: World Systems and Global Inequality

Course Description

Examines the relationship between core countries and peripheral countries. Consequences of the relationship for multi-national corporations and indigenous people. Discussion of development and maldevelopment. Relationship between private profits and the military. Prerequisites: SOC 101, 151 or 203, Junior or Senior standing or instructor consent.
