2 Lecture Hours.Understanding of basic research methods and statistical analysis techniques used in dance science research; development of basic skills in reading, reviewing and understanding publications in dance research; topics include research design, ethics in research, information retrieval, data collection methods, subject selection, sources of error, types of research; demonstration of knowledge by analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing research writing in professional journals and by planning a research study.Prerequisites:Junior and senior classification.
