3 Lecture Hours.Analysis of a specific instance of historical ethnic conflict; examination of the social, political, religious, and economic factors contributing to that historical conflict; discussion of structural factors influencing ethnic, national and other group efforts to advance claims to separate identity and self-government; case study will vary by semester.Prerequisite:Junior or senior classification.
