3 Lecture Hours.History of legal philosophy from the ancient Greeks to the present; exploration of recurring themes such as natural law, legal positivism, legal realism, sociological jurisprudence and Marxist jurisprudence; exposure to various issues, such as liberty, privacy, obedience, responsibility and punishment.Prerequisite:POLS 206or approval of department head.
