During the roughly two thousand years covered by this course, the Greeks came into contact with many peoples and societies, and experienced profound changes in politics and religion. These will be part of our examination of Greek art, architecture, and archaeology, to reach an understanding the importance of visual media in Greek society and appreciate the interrelationships between art, politics, religion, and culture.
