Course Description

This field course explores sustainability and resilience in cities around the world. It follows a multi-disciplinary approach by integrating urban-related concepts from history, sociology, ecology, geography, architecture, and planning. It also explores how seriously cities take their "going green" initiatives. Target cities might vary from year to year to include U.S. and foreign cities. The course may be repeated for credit when destination varies. There will be one or multiple mandatory pre-departure meeting/s depending on the trip length that is typically one to two weeks. (OC).
