Course Description

A chronological overview of the history of England, Great Britain and the United Kingdom from 1688 to the present with an emphasis on political, social, economic and military history. Topics explored include the Revolution of 1688, the establishment of the British state and empire, the Industrial Revolution, Victorian society, the two world wars, decolonization, Ireland and Brexit.
