PSYC 200: Introduction to Developmental Psychology
Course Description
Developmental psychology examines how we become who we are by exploring how various genetic and environmental factors interact over time, to further our understanding of how we think and how we behave. This course provides an overview of the principal concepts currently used in developmental psychology in describing and explaining biological, cognitive, and social-emotional development. Students will learn the basis for developmental discussion and reflect upon developmental phenomena. A basic exposure to developmental concepts, research methods, statistics, APA format, peer-review, and ethics provided in this course will prepare students to succeed in upper-level psychology courses.
