ART 266: Design Thinking and Research

ART Department University of Missouri-Kansas City 3.0 credits

Course Description

Design isn’t just about how something looks or aesthetics, it’s also about the systems and processes of innovation. In Design Thinking you’ll learn how to research, describe and analyze complex human problems and how to apply the methodology to your own work. The design thinking process draws on methods from visual design, engineering, art, the social sciences and the business world and uses focused listening, empathy, collaboration and experimentation to find creative solutions to complex problems.
