BIOL 6743: Advanced Pharmacology
Course Description
This course covers the foundational principles of drug delivery, distribution, and loss within the body (pharmacokinetics) and the molecular mechanisms of drug effects in the body (pharmacodynamics). To illuminate these principles, selected classes of drugs will be discussed regarding delivery, distribution within the body, mechanism of action, metabolism, and elimination at both the qualitative and quantitative levels. Students will advance their understanding of the topics through oral presentations and/or written papers. Students may not receive credit for bothBIOLÂ 4743andBIOLÂ 6743.
