CMP SCI 5888: Cybersecurity Capstone

Course Description

This course provides students an opportunity to participate in the full cybersecurity lifecycle in an applied setting using a project-based approach. Students from technical and non-technical backgrounds will work together in teams. Major tasks may include creating an information security management plan, conducting risk assessments, implementing technical and administrative controls to mitigate information security risks, and managing security operations with a focus on incident detection and response. Students may work on projects through an actual organization and demonstrate application of knowledge gained through all prior courses in the degree program. This course must be taken the last semester prior to graduation. Cannot receive credit forCMP SCI 5888andINFSYS 6888.
