CNS ED 6830: Counseling Black Clients

Course Description

This course promotes an increased awareness and understanding of the mental health needs of Black clients. Students explore assumptions made and practices used that can impede clinical progress with Black clients in clinical mental health or school settings. Students develop awareness, knowledge, and skills for culturally-attuned counseling with Black clients.
