Course Description

This course introduces the use of literary theory in reading and writing about literary texts. Students will learn and practice conventions of writing in English studies, basic literary research, and MLA documentation. This course is strongly recommended for English majors specializing in literature or anticipating graduate study in English. It may not be taken on satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Counts towards the Certificate in Writing.
