ENGL 4162: Writers at Work

Course Description

This course introduces students to writing professions. Students will research various writing professions and practice different professional writing genres, such as corporate writing, public relations writing, blogging, magazine writing, copywriting, and editing. Students will work on portfolios that will help them to obtain writing internships or jobs. Readings will help students conduct a meta-analysis of their own writing and writing process.
