FGN LANG 5311: Special Topics in Foreign Language Teaching

Course Description

Designed for in-service foreign language teachers, this course focuses on the study of special topics in the field of foreign language learning with an emphasis on research applications to the improvement of practice. Topics may include technology for FL learning, the teaching of writing in the FL classroom, the teaching of reading in the FL classroom, proficiency-oriented instruction and assessment, second language acquisition for FL teachers, action research in the FL classroom. May be repeated for credit provided the topic is different. May be applied toward the Master's in Secondary Education with an emphasis in FL teaching.
