MATH 4550: Introduction to Combinatorics

Course Description

This course introduces advanced counting methods including the use of generating functions for the solution of recurrences and difference equations. Additional topics may include: graphs and trees, combinatorial designs, combinatorial games, error-correcting codes, and finite-state machines. Credit is not granted for bothMATH 4550and MATH 5650.
