MID ED 4350: Teaching Science in the Middle School

Course Description

Students will analyze both methodology and content, apply appropriate teaching and learning strategies, and become acquainted with technological advances in teaching science. Students will use informal and formal assessment as well as design and implement original science activities and instruction for all areas of science. If taken concurrently with internship, field hours will be combined within the internship experience. If this course is taken separately, then middle school based field experiences are required in addition to scheduled course time.
