SOC 3651: Social Leadership

Course Description

This course, which is grounded in sociology, will examine various theories, paradigms, and approaches to leadership. Emphasis will be placed on how leaders emerge, including the nature of a leader's skills, behaviors, and the role of organizational change. Leadership of individuals, small teams, organizations, as well as leadership in a virtual world are discussed.
