SCMA 5322: Lean Production

Course Description

This course covers the study of Lean Production philosophy and techniques in manufacturing and service operations. Topics include process analysis and continuous improvement, set-up reduction, total productive maintenance, kanban scheduling, cellular production, work teams, supplier relations, quality management, and the environmental aspects of production. Cases and a course project will be used to integrate and apply the course material.
