TCH ED 6445: Integration of Geospatial Resources into K-12 STEM Teaching

Course Description

This course provides teachers and instructional designers with the knowledge and skills to integrate Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping resources into existing instructional plans for the purpose of enhancing instruction and increasing student awareness of GIS. The course demonstrates the power of maps to teach concepts across the curriculum, prepares teachers to manipulate data to customize maps to instruction, and helps teachers instruct students on creating maps from data.
